Living in Lagos: Social Painting On The Beach

Image
Hello Boys & Girls, Long time no post right? I'm not sorry, LOL I sincerely apologize. I don't have laptop at the moment, once I get a new one I'll be more active. So, I'm still Living in Lagos and trying to explore different fun things to do in Lagos. When I saw a social painting event created on the Truppr app, I was super excited and made sure I would go with my S/O. The event was organized by Naidrenalin which is basically a adventure club that organizes trips and fun events. It cost about N4,000 person and N7,500 for couples. The event was scheduled for the 29th of April and it was at Tarkwa Bay Beach . We met up at CMS Ferry and set out around 9am. The day started off with everyone introducing each other and also playing fun board games. I played Monopoly, other games were scrabble and chess. It was a fun mingle and then the real thing started. I really wanted to play with lines and have a colorful painting but we had to paint the same thing, whi...

Living In Lagos : My Cafe Neo

Image
So I feel like I should start a series called - Living in Lagos. Perhaps weekly posts of my different experiences as a Lagos girl who is trying her best to live a good life, while also working full time and staying with her parents. So yesterday I met Mark Zuckerberg - Yasssssssss. But that's not the gist for today, another time, please. I was heading to a meeting this afternoon and I was feeling very ' Elitist' and decided to visit the mall a few minutes away from my office. I went to Neo cafe and it turns out their pastries - Coffees -& Shakes are not so expensive. So let's review them under the following categories Ambience  It was like a little temple, where you just sit for a while, have snacks , use their 2-hour wifi voucher and then go home. Also, repeat the following week. Customer Service  The first girl who attended to me was nice and she was able to convince to go there again and I hope they give freebies ! Product (Meal) ...

Living in Lagos : Tarkwa Bay Beach

LOL! I promised a living in Lagos series and I have done just one post - NO VEX. The last one I did was about my visit to cafe neo in Yaba - read all about it here A distant friend (not sure if that's a thing) was having a party and I got invited, it was at Tarkwa Bay Beach and I have always wanted to go there - so seemed like a good idea. Let's talk about Tarkwa Bay under 3 categories  - Why you should go there, why you need company and how much fun I had. My boat took off at fiki cruise - opp. law school. It was about 25minutes and it was a fun ride (Saw Otedola's Yacht Mad!! ) Why Should I Go to Tarkwa Bay ? You should see be eager to leave your house every day, see new places and have a good time. Tarkwa bay isn't just a nice place it's also very affordable. TIP : Carry your own food and booze. Why Should You Go With Company ? I never go anywhere alone, you should go with your friends, family or lovers.  You have to think of who will ta...

Living in Lagos: Trying new things, Dealing with Change, Fighting off Monkeys and Other Stories.

I told y'all I'll be back! This is basically another living in Lagos post, I finally visited the popular LCC on Friday. I belong to one of the small teams at the office and it was glaring we needed time off to bond outside work and just have fun. We had been planning a trip since August but we got so overwhelmed that it just kept getting moved. There was a big restructuring at work and my small team got merged with a bigger team. Once we realized that we didn't function as that team anymore, the need to go for a team bonding session became more pressing.  So, on Friday we decided it will happen. We went shopping and set out to LCC. Once we arrived there was a little monkey just stressing us all over the place. Little Monkey It eventually got around to snatch a plate of food from us! Very traumatic experience for my colleague who was with the bag of food. And that wasn't even the scary part. I went on the famous canopy walk. Guys and I tell you don't go! It...

Living in Lagos : Filmhouse Cinemas IMAX

Image
It's like I can't stay at home anymore - This is why I'm always broke. Yesterday I was at Imax cinemas with my friends and I must admit it's a really nice place. Let's review Imax cinemas under 3 different categories - Service , Ambience and Cost. Read :  Living in Lagos : Tarkwa Bay Beach Cost   There's something for everyone. You can do regular 2D screen, 3D and the ultimate experience. Cost ranges from N1,500 - N3,500 to N10,000. The 10,000 screen is like a lounge and you actually get served high-quality restaurant food. (Must be nice) I spent a total of N2,500 - movies tickets - N1,500 and got a beef only shawarma for N1,000. Service  The staff were really nice and the girl who sold my ticket was trying to sell the N10,000 idea to me. Which was great. Ambience The theatre is really pretty , sound system on fleek and the roof isn't leaking like some places (ICM). I took mad ass pictures at the lounge - so I shall share, have a look at ...
